Checking-in. We managed to get to the airport for 3 euro (1 for me, 1 for Cav, and 1 for the luggage) which is a bargain when the taxi would have cost 55 euro but it meant we were there an hour early because it was difficult to guage how long it would take. We chatted with the couple next to us who had got there by the same route (although they got there 4 hours early) - it turned out they had been on the same flight via Bristol and Cardiff as us, and had stayed at the same hotel as us. We had not seen them at all, unlike almost every other tourist in Rome that kept popping up on the metro or at the forum. We spent a cheerful couple of hours discussing the graffiti and the local cocktail bar and then had an uneventful flight home (to Bristol, hurrah)! Ciao
